ELIZABETH (LIZ) LISK NAMED AMONG NMP’S 2023 MORTGAGE STARS
Champions Funding’s EVP Operations Elizabeth (Liz) Lisk was selected by National Mortgage Professional magazine as one of the 2023 Mortgage Stars.
GILBERT, AZ (July 14, 2023) – A Champion in the industry, Elizabeth (Liz) Lisk indelible spark and impact in the industry earned her a notable designation as a 2023 Mortgage Star by Mortgage Women Magazine. Liz began her journey in the mortgage industry twenty years ago as a receptionist. Her increasing impact continues to have an effect as Liz committed herself to giving her team the knowledge, voice, and skills to continue to grow professionally.
During her tenure in mortgage, she has served in a variety of departments including compliance, where she provides insight from the vantage of an array of stakeholders. Liz’s success reflects what is possible for all mortgage professionals – a fulfilling career and an opportunity to make an impact. The passionate professional has had a hands-on role in the tech production, testing, and roll-out of the HERO Broker Portal and forthcoming underwriting portal. Both were designed to improve flows and efficiency by empowering our partners. Liz also streamlined the loan process by ensuring the user-friendly technology was programmed with compliance safeguards; she also sped up turn times by opting for an empowered decision-maker to manage each file rather than waiting for several touches and individuals. Her drive keeps her constantly enhancing services and procedures, making her a Champion for the broker partners she serves.
Liz’s passion for mortgage is complemented by her commitment to the company’s mission of serving the underserved. In its first year of production, Liz and her team managed the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) loans, designated for underbanked and diverse borrowers. Currently, she’s focused on the exciting launch of a new channel, expanding the 100% Non-QM wholesale lender into non-delegated correspondent lending.
